Job summary

NuAxis Innovations is seeking a Web Developer to design, build, and secure a Drupal-based unemployment insurance platform for a federal client. You will lead development efforts, apply Drupal expertise, and collaborate with federal program managers, COR, UX researchers, and cross‑functional teams to deliver a high‑performing solution.

The role emphasizes identity verification integration (Login.gov), accessibility under Section 508, and DevOps practices with CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on Drupal development, including custom modules, theming, and API integrations.
• Experience integrating Login.gov and SAVE for identity and entitlement verification.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; exposure to .NET, Python, Ruby, or similar is a plus.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and security best practices for federal applications.
• Knowledge of USWDS, Section 508, and federal security/compliance standards.
• RESTful API design and modern frameworks (Node.js, FastAPI) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, and management of a Drupal-based platform to initiate UI claims for participating states.
• Integrate Login.gov for front-end identity verification and SAVE for work authorization verification.
• Design and implement user registration, authentication, and access control features using federal APIs.
• Build and maintain claims submission and tracking processes within the Drupal platform.
• Apply artificial intelligence for rapid prototyping to accelerate requirements gathering and design.
