Job summary

Amazon Prime Air is seeking an experienced Sr. Repair Technician at the Baton Rouge operation. You will maintain drones and ensure airworthiness, coordinating with engineering and flight operations while training the local Repair Technician team.

Must lift up to 50 lbs, work up to 12 hours, travel up to 25%, and comply with FAA regulations. The role includes benefits and opportunities for technical leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience.
• Experience guiding, training and mentoring others.
• Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, ie. Word, Excel, etc.)
• Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities.
• Own fleet performance metrics.
• Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.
• Manage fleet spare parts and inventory.
• Train and mentor other Repair Technicians.
• Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians.
• Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations.
• Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals.
