Roadrunner Freight in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a high-energy recruiter to own the full hiring lifecycle for owner-operators/drivers. You will run a fast, structured process, manage significant inbound and outbound activity, and use Tenstreet and other systems to keep the pipeline accurate and productive.

You will be measured on conversion rates, time-to-hire, and weekly targets while coordinating with Safety, Orientation, and Fleet teams to reduce turnover.

Competenze

• 4+ years of high-volume recruiting, sales, or business development experience (transportation or driver recruiting preferred).
• Proven ability to hit aggressive targets in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Strong phone presence and the ability to build rapport quickly while managing high call volume.
• Natural closer mentality—comfortable creating urgency, handling objections, and driving decisions.
• Real understanding of how drivers think, what they care about, and how to earn their trust.
• Exceptional organizational discipline and follow-through under pressure.
• Proficiency with ATS/CRM systems and data hygiene; Tenstreet, Clearinghouse, MVR, PSP experience.

• Make required daily calls and follow up with qualified applicants.
• Update Tenstreet in real time after conversations to keep the pipeline accurate.
• Track weekly metrics: leads, conversations, applications, orientations.
• Pre-qualify candidates early to focus on those who qualify; explain pay, routes, and next steps clearly.
• Close the next step on each call when possible and escalate problems quickly to keep momentum.
