Job summary

Anschutz Exploration Corporation in Denver seeks a Senior Drilling Engineer responsible for managing all aspects of the well-delivery process, including design, planning, permitting, execution, and post-operation review. This role oversees 1–3 drilling rigs with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and cost control.

You will lead field staff, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor engineers, and drive drilling analytics and technology adoption.

Qualifications

• BS and/or MS in engineering, physics-oriented program.
• 7+ years of related industry experience.
• Staff level: 12+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead wellbore design, including casing selection and load analysis.
• Oversee drilling operations, planning, and cost control.
• Promote HSE policy compliance and safe operations.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and field personnel.
• Coordinate with asset teams on permits and budgeting.
