Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in Civil Construction, Marine Construction, or Dredging.
• Proficient with MS Office including Excel; takeoff software such as Bluebeam.
• Experience with Navisworks.
• Strong attention to detail and leadership skills.
• Familiar with developing scheduled activities and estimating standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate project specifications and drawings for dredge projects.
• Prepare schedules, quantity takeoffs, project cost sheets.
• Prepare detailed material, labor, equipment, and subcontract cost sheets.
• Accept, review, and analyze subcontractor quotes.
• Develop subcontractor scopes of work.
• Prepare project bid status reports.
• Monitor ongoing jobs for bid accuracy.
• Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal conferences and site visits.
• Maintain an accurate, current database of historical data.
• Foster relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
