RINA North America is recruiting a Dredging Engineer to join the Environmental and Engineering Geoscience Division. The role is based in Houston, TX, with potential locations in Fort Lauderdale, FL or Chicago/Lisle.

The engineer leads dredging design, sediment characterization, placement strategies, permitting support, procurement, construction supervision, and close-out activities on major projects. Ideal candidates hold a BS in environmental or civil engineering, 10+ years in navigation

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering.
• 10+ years in navigation and berth dredging design with construction involvement.
• Sediment testing to USACE and EPA protocols.
• Cost and production estimating for dredging works and contract administration.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and be onsite during dredging campaigns.
• Texas PE license strongly preferred for dredging design documents.
• Gulf Coast project experience and involvement in dredging associations (e.g., WEDA).

Responsabilidades

• Dredge Design: geometry, over-dredge allowances, quantity computation from bathymetric surfaces.
• Sediment characterization: sampling plans, testing programs, material classification.
• Dredged material placement: on-site, beneficial use, or USACE areas; planning capacity.
• Permitting support: Section 408, 10/404, turbidity controls, coordination with navigational authorities.
• Procurement: dredging method selection, cost estimating, contract package, risk allocation.
• Construction supervision: pre-dredge to post-dredge surveys, progress monitoring, QA/QC.
• Close-out and operation: final surveys, maintenance dredging planning, records handover.
