Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead drainage and stormwater design for transportation infrastructure projects in a hybrid role. You will perform hydraulic analyses, manage permitting efforts, and oversee scopes, schedules, and budgets while mentoring engineering staff.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in transportation drainage or water resources and holds a PE license or can obtain licensure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of transportation drainage, stormwater, or water resources engineering experience.
• Experience delivering transportation projects for state and local transportation agencies.
• Strong expertise in drainage design, hydraulic analysis, stormwater management, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage and stormwater design for transportation infrastructure projects (highways, roadways, interchanges, bridges, multimodal facilities).
• Perform hydraulic analyses and pond siting evaluations; conduct bridge hydraulic studies.
• Manage permitting efforts and coordinate with regulatory agencies, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and risk management across multiple assignments.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering staff.
• Support client development activities and represent the firm at industry events as needed.
