GFT in Miami is seeking an experienced Sr. Drainage Engineer to lead drainage design for transportation projects across Florida, with close collaboration with the FDOT and public-sector clients.

You will perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, prepare calculations, reports, and permitting documents, and ensure FDOT standards compliance. The role emphasizes high-quality design, modern stormwater solutions, and teamwork on the roadway group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Transportation Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida.
• 5+ years post-PE experience.
• 10+ years of drainage design for highway and roadway projects.
• Pump Station and Deep Well experience.
• Proficient in OpenRoads Designer.
• Strong knowledge of FDOT Design Manual, Standard Plans, and Drainage Manual.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and permitting documents.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including stormwater collection system analysis.
• Develop stormwater management designs and obtain permits per regulations.
• Review drainage designs, plans, and reports for FDOT and municipal projects.
• Ensure design quality and FDOT standards compliance.
