Job summary

Crusoe is building a globally distributed, high-performance storage platform for AI/HPC workloads. You will design and implement DPU-offload paths, integrate with the storage orchestration layer, and work across Storage, Networking, and Compute to enable safe, scalable offloads.

We seek a senior systems engineer with 10+ years in low-level programming, hands-on DPU/SmartNIC experience, and strong Linux kernel knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering with systems focus.
• Hands-on experience with DPUs/SmartNICs in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernel internals and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software offloading storage protocol work to DPUs/SmartNICs.
• Integrate storage orchestration with DPU-resident services and failover.
• Collaborate on RDMA/NVMe-oF fabric and virtualization isolation.
• Evaluate vendor DPUs/SDKs to accelerate offload features.
• Build observability and testing for DPU-offloaded paths.
• Drive performance benchmarks and quantify CPU-cycle savings.
