Job summary

Akina, Inc seeks a System Engineer 2 to analyze user requirements, develop system requirements, and lead design efforts for DoD-scale systems at Fort Meade, MD. The role focuses on DoDAF and SOA architectures, with strong emphasis on technical leadership and requirements traceability.

The candidate will produce system architecture documentation, support system integration, and coordinate with government stakeholders. Travel readiness and higher-level security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Fourteen years of SE experience in large scope programs.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline.
• Five years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant certification.
• Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and develop system requirements specifications.
• Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Develop system architecture and design documentation.
• Coordinate cross-discipline activities and change control.
• Develop system engineering documentation and interface control documents.
• Guide system development and verification planning and assessment.
