Job summary

Scires is seeking an experienced defense technical expert to provide program-level support, conduct rigorous reviews, and produce executive-ready assessments. The role requires deep DoD specialization and proven ability to influence investment decisions at senior levels.

The position involves extensive collaboration across services and agencies, frequent travel (50%), and engagement with government stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of T&E/S&T investments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technical and engineering roles supporting the Defense enterprise.
• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field.
• Deep technical breadth across DoD test and evaluation infrastructure, instrumentation, modeling and simulation, and supporting computing and networking technologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the T&E/S&T Program Manager.
• Conduct technical reviews of investment initiatives for maturity, scalability, and alignment with DoD priorities.
• Assess transition readiness and interoperability across the T&E ecosystem.
• Translate technical findings into executive-level briefs and assessments.
• Mentor junior technologists and participate in senior leadership meetings.
