Job summary

Barbaricum is seeking a System Engineer III to directly support NSWC Crane Division, Code MXM, focusing on mission engineering analysis and EMSO-enabled capability assessment. You will lead requirements analysis, derive and manage across hardware/software design, and implement SETR processes with a DOE/DoD policy framework.

You will apply MBSE practices, develop RTVMs, and coordinate with DoD sponsors and IPTs to verify and validate capabilities for complex naval programs.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance (minimum); U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 7+ years of systems engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of DoD systems engineering policy and SETR execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering reqs analysis, derivation, and management for hardware/software design and development per MIL-HDBK-539.
  • Execute SETR processes and apply Root Cause Analysis techniques.
  • Trace requirements from performance to detailed design and develop RTVM.
  • Strategize verification methods and document timing/method for verification.
  • Apply MBSE to identify subassemblies, interfaces, functions, environments, software/firmware requirements.
  • Coordinate with logisticians, product-support, DoD sponsors and IPTs.
