Job summary

ASEC, Inc. is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support mission-critical Navy training systems at NAWS China Lake, CA. The role requires on-site work, a Top Secret clearance, and a strong background in securing and operating DoD environments.

You will manage RMF/ATO activities, apply DISA STIG configurations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous operations and compliance with DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ is required; a Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, CS, or related area is required, or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, CASP+ are highly desired.
• At least 7 years of related system administration experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of vCenter/VMware is required.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems; Linux experience is a plus.
• Experience managing DoD HBSS is preferred.
• Experience in DNS performance and reliability.
• Experience implementing and maintaining local and group policies.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory domain controllers.
• Knowledge of log aggregation and analysis across sources.
• Familiarity with Windows PowerShell is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, test, and implement system upgrades for performance and reliability.
• Support RMF and ATO activities, including vulnerability scanning and accreditation artifacts.
• Integrate new software applications within complex, mission-critical environments.
• Apply and maintain OS security configurations per DISA STIGs.
• Identify and resolve system flaws; implement technical cybersecurity controls.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and assessments to safeguard systems.
• Troubleshoot software issues in integrated environments to maintain operations.
• Ensure compliance with DoD RMF, FISMA, NIST 800-53, and DoD SRG.
