Job summary

ASEC is seeking a System Administrator to support DoD information systems at NAWS China Lake, CA. The role requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance and will be performed on site.

You will maintain and upgrade DoD systems, manage RMF/ATO activities, and ensure STIG compliance while collaborating with teams to strengthen cybersecurity. Qualifications include an associate degree or 3+ years of related experience; Linux, AD, PowerShell, and VMware HBSS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Cybersecurity, or related; or 1+ year experience as system administrator.
• Without an associate's degree, at least 3 years of related system administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, test, and implement system upgrades for performance and reliability.
• Support RMF and ATO activities, including vulnerability scanning and accreditation artifacts.
• Integrate new software applications into complex environments.
• Apply security configurations per DISA STIGs.
• Identify and resolve system flaws and strengthen cybersecurity.
• Conduct vulnerability scans to safeguard systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in integrated environments.
• Ensure compliance with DoD RMF, FISMA, NIST 800-53, and DoD SRG.
