Job summary

amelexinc is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain information management solutions for Navy programs. You will work with systems engineers, testers, and program managers to ensure scalable, secure software that meets DoN standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS/SE/IS and 8+ years of experience with structured programming, data models, and database design. On-site work at Webster Field, St. Inigoes, MD, with a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience, preferably supporting DoN/ NAVFAC activities.
• Experience designing data architectures, ERDs, and relational/non-relational data models.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, version control, and lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain information management solutions for Navy program requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and document designs, data dictionaries, and interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with DoN cybersecurity, CM, and software development standards.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and participate in on-site reviews at Webster Field, MD.
