Job summary

Sigma Defense in Belcamp, MD is seeking a Software Developer to support the Army's NetMod program. The role focuses on developing, integrating, and maintaining software for network modernization and mission network systems.

You will analyze requirements, design architecture, write code in Java/Python/C#/JavaScript, test thoroughly, and produce technical docs. Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain; DoD experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years in DoD software development preferred.
• Ability to analyze requirements, design architecture and code.
• Experience with testing and debugging.
• Documentation skills for user guides and specs.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Science.
• Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Work with analysts to understand analytic/interface requirements.
• Develop tools and interfaces.
• Design, develop, test OS-level software, compilers, and network distribution software applications.
• Set operational specifications and analyze software requirements.
• Design embedded systems software.
• Responsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying software applications.
• Collaborate with teams to meet user needs across platforms and systems.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement updates.
