Job summary

Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Services Engineer to support the C3I&N Directorate at Hanscom AFB. This full-time position emphasizes planning, analyzing, and implementing secure voice and data networks.

You will assess network requirements, monitor capacity, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and IDS, ensuring resilient performance and cybersecurity compliance across enterprise systems. Applicants must be a US citizen with a current Secret clearance and be prepared to work

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
12+ years of experience in network administration or engineering, including DoD.
Extensive knowledge of routers, switches and firewalls.
Experience with network monitoring and management using automated solutions.
U.S. citizenship and a current Secret clearance are required.

Responsibilities

Advise and support work across planning, analysis, design, development, testing, QA, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and management of voice, data, and video networked systems.
Analyze and recommend network requirements.
Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure.
Analyze network workload.
Monitor network capacity and performance.
Diagnose and resolve network problems.
Recommend network backup and recovery procedures.
Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems software.
Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies and practices.
