Job summary

INNOVIM seeks a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based solutions on AKS, AWS, and OpenShift for DoD/MDA contracts. You will drive infrastructure automation, security hardening, and cloud migrations while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a DoD environment.

You will work on IaaS/PaaS platforms, manage CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to documentation and pricing discussions.

Qualifications

• Must have 12+ years of general full-time work experience, possibly reduced with advanced education.
• Must have 6+ years of directly related experience in system integration with a DevSecOps focus or Kubernetes.
• Must have 1+ years in a management or leadership role.
• Must be proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift.
• Must have experience with Coder Platform.
• Must have strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Must develop and use exceptionally complex concepts spanning multiple orgs.
• Must hold a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+).
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for several cloud and containerization computing roles focusing on engineering, architecture, development, and administration.
• Assess a project’s technology infrastructure and explore options for moving to the cloud and containerization.
• Oversee migration and maintenance of the new system leveraging Terraform, HELM, Ansible and Bash.
• Provide expertise in container hardening to meet DoD and MDA compliance standards.
• Develop scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure on IaaS and PaaS platforms.
• Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
• Deploy and maintain cloud application databases including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MySQL.
• Maintain extensive documentation for all integration processes and systems.
• Stay up-to-date with cloud technologies and best practices to improve processes.
• Communicate with Government to determine optimal subsystem pricing/sourcing.
• Provide reports to leadership on infrastructure capabilities.

INNOVIM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems that integrate seamlessly with our Government Customer’s infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of scalable and reliable DevSecOps solutions. Our primary platform is Kubernetes based leveraging Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS) and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).

The candidate will:

• Plan, coordinate, schedule, test, improve, and maintain IT systems.

This position is expected to pay $135,000 – $160,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
