KaylaTek seeks a senior network engineer for on-site work at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, DC. The role requires 8+ years in secure, large-scale enterprise networks, DoD experience, and active 8140 IAT II clearance. Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, TACLANE management, and mentoring junior engineers.

Core hours 6am-6pm; on-site with ad-hoc telework. Must be a US citizen with DoD security clearance; CCNP Enterprise or Security certification preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience; more years may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• 7-10+ years of experience in network engineering in secure, large-scale enterprise environments.
• Current 8140 IAT Level II certificate (CCNP Enterprise or Security) and DoD environment experience.
• Hands-on deployment, fabric management, and automation workflows using Cisco DNAC.
• Expertise in architecture, policy creation, and troubleshooting for wired and wireless 1X using Cisco ISE.
• Proficiency in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of HAIPE devices.
• Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (BGP/OSPF) and switching technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of DISA STIGs for network devices

Responsabilidades

• Monitor networks for messages, alarms, or issues.
• Identify issues or problems, resolving as appropriate or escalating when necessary.
• Troubleshoot issues utilizing script-based methods or standard procedures, escalating as appropriate.
• Interface with higher-level support units to ensure resolution during outages or reduced performance.
• Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) as directed by leadership.
• Maintain security posture on network equipment per DoD/local mandates, including updates and STIGs.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot TACLANEs to secure data in transit across classified and unclassified networks.
• Serve as final escalation point for complex routing, security, and switching issues.
• Perform packet capture analysis and root cause analysis as needed.
• Provide feedback to improve and prevent future issues.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and compliance artifacts.
• Support on-call rotation and day-to-day operations; mentor junior engineers.
