Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Senior Network Engineer to support a mission‑critical network program at Joint Base Andrews, MD. The role is full‑time and onsite with adhoc telework per mission needs, focusing on secure DoD enterprise networks and modernization efforts.

You will deploy Cisco routing/switching, manage DNA Center/ISE, and ensure high availability while adhering to security requirements. Strong collaboration with cybersecurity and facilities teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive network engineering experience in enterprise or mission‑critical environments.
• Current CCNA or CCNP Enterprise and CompTIA Security+ CE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco enterprise routing/switching in data centers.
• Administer classified and unclassified networks with continuous availability.
• Maintain network documentation including rack elevations and asset inventories.
• Mitigate SPOFs through redundancy and resilient design.
• Manage DNA Center, ISE, and 802.1X implementations for access control.
• Configure F5 BIG-IP for application delivery and load balancing.
• Operate RSA Authentication Manager for MFA on devices.
• Install and maintain TACLANE/HAIPE encryption devices.
• Harden infrastructure per DISA STIGs and DoD directives.
• Coordinate with security/facilities for audit-ready controls.
• Monitor health using Cacti and SNMP; support multicast routing (PIM/IGMP).
• Interface with DISA, 26 NOS, and other stakeholders for operations.
• Authorize service interruptions and change requests; maintain runbooks.
