Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Senior Network Engineer to support enterprise network infrastructure, security, and mission-critical IT operations at Joint Base Andrews, MD. The role is onsite, with an active Secret clearance, and operates Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM ET, with ad-hoc telework eligibility and on-call rotation.

The engineer will deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routing/switching, DNA Center, ISE, F5 BIG-IP, TACLANE/HAIPE devices, and secure networks.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years hands-on network engineering experience.
• IAT Level II/III certification (e.g., Security+ CE) required.
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Enterprise certification.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise routing/switching.
• Experience in secure, mission-critical networks.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and security.
• Troubleshooting complex network issues.
• Familiarity with SNMP monitoring (Cacti)

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise routing and switching infrastructure (Cisco Catalyst/Nexus).
• Support high-availability data center networks and ensure redundancy.
• Manage Cisco DNA Center, Cisco ISE, and NAC policies.
• Administer F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM for application availability.
• Install TACLANE/HAIPE devices for classified and unclassified networks.
• Ensure DISA STIG compliance and security controls.
• Troubleshoot outages and performance issues.
• Monitor network performance with SNMP tools like Cacti.
• Configure multicast routing (PIM/IGMP) for services.
• Collaborate with DoD stakeholders to resolve incidents.
