Job summary

Akima seeks a Senior Network Engineer - CONUS to serve as the regional technical authority for complex DHA LAN/WAN/WLAN operations supporting MTFs, GSUs, OLBs, and other DHA activities within the CONUS region.

The role entails high-level network engineering, troubleshooting, and coordination across multiple stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and standardized services for MHS GENESIS and related mission systems.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional technical authority for CONUS DHA networked facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex LAN/WLAN/WAN issues affecting availability and security.
• Lead installation, configuration, and documentation of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and related devices.
• Coordinate security changes with DoD stakeholders and vendors.
• Develop and document network standards, SOPs, and change records to improve standardization.
• Provide regional leadership and guidance to field engineers and technicians.
