Job summary

Trident Systems Inc. in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Network Engineer 3 to support an aerial surveillance system for a DoD customer. The role requires hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, including Cisco Catalyst platforms, multicast video transport, and virtualized environments.

You will troubleshoot complex issues under operational pressure and contribute to system design and continuous improvement. The position demands a bachelor’s degree in CS/IS (or equivalent), 4+ years in networking

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IS or related field.
• 4+ years networking experience (switches/routers)
• CCNP Security certification
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Strong TCP/IP, OSPF/BGP/EIGRP, and network design knowledge.
• Multicast (PIM/IGMP) and video transport over IP
• Experience with virtualization (VMware) and network segmentation
• Ability to work onsite in Fairfax, VA, 5 days a week

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate enterprise network solutions for DoD systems.
• .design and implement Government network infrastructure.
• Provide 24/7 support for mission-critical networks.
• Serve as SME for Cisco platforms (core/distribution and edge)
• Manage video distribution networks and QoS for real-time video
• Assist in requirements analysis and system design documents
• Contribute to procurement decisions for hardware/software
