Job summary

Sigma Defense Systems LLC in San Diego seeks a Network Engineer to advance DoD network deployments and integration across ship-to-shore environments. You will help design, deploy, test, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN and SD-WAN solutions, leveraging Cisco routing/switching, Palo Alto firewalls, and TACLANE devices.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and active or sponsorable security clearance, with DoD experience and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Security+ (or equivalent) and CCNA; CCNP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist development and modernization of Government systems and components.
• Support WAN/LAN posture and Navy requirements.
• Configure Cisco switches (L2/L3) and maintain port security.
• Configure Palo Alto firewalls and TACLANE devices.
• Coordinate with local lab admins and engineers on testing and integration.
