Booz Allen Hamilton in San Diego, CA seeks a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise and tactical networks for the DoD. You’ll work with wireless, SD-WAN, and cybersecurity to build secure, resilient infrastructure supporting mission readiness and daily connectivity.

The role requires 8+ years in enterprise networking, 7+ in network engineering, DoD IA compliance, and the ability to rotate 24x7x365 shifts.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in enterprise networking roles.
7+ years of experience in network engineering and troubleshooting.
Experience with IP networking solutions.
Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, or BGP).
Knowledge of TCP/IP and data network protocols and analysis tools (tcpdump, Wireshark).
Knowledge of DoD network deployments, STIGs, and IA compliance.
Ability to work on a rotational shift schedule for 24x7x365 coverage.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Certification within 90 days of start date

Responsibilities

Operate and sustain enterprise and tactical network systems as part of the O&M team.
Support a 24x7x365 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Configure and troubleshoot Aruba wireless LANs, controllers, access points, and ClearPass and SD-WAN solutions.
Perform performance tuning and network health assessments.
Conduct cybersecurity vulnerability scans using approved tools per DoD requirements.
Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for escalated network issues.
Collaborate across IT teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant operations.
