FTI Defense - Frontier Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Advisory Network Engineer in Huntsville, AL. You will lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise routing, switching, and multi-tenant networks for a United States Navy program.

You will collaborate with mission stakeholders, translate operational needs into robust technical requirements, and drive high-availability solutions with secure configurations and STIG compliance. Travel to Ventura, CA will be required.

Formación

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance.
• 10+ years of Network Engineering, Network Architecture, and/or Information Assurance experience.
• Experience with VRF-Lite configurations, macro/micro-segmentation, and multi-tenant enterprise network design.
• Strong background in Cisco routing/switching and next-gen firewalls, with DISA STIG implementation.

Responsabilidades

• Lead architectural design and deployment of enterprise routing, switching, and firewall infrastructures.
• Architect and implement multi-tenant environments and segmentation strategies using VRF-Lite, VLANs, and routing policies.
• Design high-availability topologies, failover, disaster recovery, and resilient backup procedures.
• Directly engage Navy stakeholders, technical leadership, and system owners to gather requirements and lead network implementation strategies.
• Install, upgrade, and integrate enterprise networking platforms, security appliances, and identity/policy frameworks (e.g., Cisco ISE).
• Provide security-hardened configuration templates (DISA STIG-compliant) for all components (Cisco switches/routers/firewalls).
• Produce detailed architectural diagrams, engineering design packages, specs, and SOPs for repeatable deployment.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2/3 and security policy issues with root-cause analysis and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with ISSM and ISSO to support ATO packages.
• Must be able to support 35% - 40% travel to Ventura, CA.
