Job summary

Frontier Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Advisory Network Engineer to lead architecture, design, and deployment of enterprise routing, switching, and firewall infrastructures for a United States Navy customer.

The role requires US citizenship, an active Secret clearance, and 10+ years of network engineering/architecture experience. You will design multi-tenant environments, high-availability topologies, and security-hardening templates. Travel up to 35% is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of relevant Network Engineering/Architecture experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with VRF-Lite configurations and multi-tenant enterprise designs.
• Strong HA, failover, and redundancy protocol knowledge (HSRP/VRRP).
• Customer-facing skills and requirements gathering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and deployment of enterprise routing, switching, and firewall infrastructures.
• Architect multi-tenant environments and segmentation strategies (VRF-Lite, VLANs).
• Design HA topologies, failover, DR, and resilient backup procedures.
• Engage with Navy stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
• Install, upgrade, and integrate Cisco platforms and security appliances.
• Provide STIG-compliant configuration templates for network components.
• Produce architecture diagrams, design packages, and SOPs for repeatable deployment.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2/3 and security policy issues; perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with ISSM/ISSO for ATO documentation.
• Travel up to 35% on average.
