Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC seeks a Senior Logistics & Transportation Advisor to provide strategic DoD logistics, transportation, and joint distribution expertise. Deliver senior-level guidance, coordinate across the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and services, and shape policy and planning at enterprise scale.

Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret/SCI preferred. Bachelor’s degree with extensive DoD experience. Position based at Scott AFB, IL, with leadership across DoD and federal partners.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in DoD logistics/transportation with leadership roles.
• Senior government leadership (GS-15/O-6 equivalent) experience preferred.
• Ability to engage senior military and civilian leaders.
• Deep knowledge of the Joint Logistics Enterprise and stakeholders.
• Active Secret clearance; Top Secret/SCI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level expertise in strategic and operational logistics, transportation, distribution, deployment, and sustainment.
• Coordinate activities across the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Military Services, and Defense Agencies.
• Advise senior leaders on logistics policy, readiness, risks, and capability gaps.
• Support development and assessment of logistics plans, policies, and requirements.
• Engage stakeholders and facilitate cross-organizational working groups and decision forums.
• Develop senior-leader briefings, papers, and assessments for executives.
• Support business development and capture activities for DoD logistics solutions.
