Job summary
FGS LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the Office of Naval Intelligence in Suitland, Maryland. You will design, configure, maintain, and secure a globally deployed Cisco-based network infrastructure for classified mission systems.
The ideal candidate has extensive Cisco routing/switching experience, DoD/IC operations, and a TS/SCI clearance. You will lead complex troubleshooting, implement modernization initiatives, and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or 3 years relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM I Certification
- Cisco CCNA
- Extensive experience with Cisco routing/switching and secure networks
- Experience with DoD/IC network design and operations
Responsibilities
- Engineer and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN/MAN across multiple enclaves
- Configure and maintain encryption devices for classified communications
- Manage dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and route analysis
- Perform advanced troubleshooting with packet captures, SNMP, and NetFlow
- Maintain VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP, QoS
- Support WAN technologies including MPLS, VPNs, IPSec tunnels
- Provide Tier III engineering support for outages and performance issues
