Job summary

Gauss Management Research & Engineering (GMRE Inc.) seeks a seasoned project manager to oversee Advanced Fighter aircraft flight test programs within the DoD acquisition framework at Edwards, CA. The role covers planning, provisioning, analysis, and reporting across multiple projects with strict time constraints and security requirements.

Candidates should bring 10+ years in program management, a Master’s degree, and active U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management for Advanced Fighter aircraft in flight test is highly desired and/or other DoD flight test programs for the development and implementation of project cost, schedule, performance, and risk analysis/assessment and management plans.
• A demonstrated ability for analysis and development of project baselines, Statements of Capability, Program Introduction Documents, Flying Hour Program and test schedules, and briefings, reports, and other tasks required for planning, provisioning, and implementation of flight test requirements.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with the DoD and Air Force system, subsystem, and equipment acquisition; and/or program management procedures for development, procurement, production, logistics support, and/or techniques for employment for the system being acquired.
• Coordinate tasks across engineering, program control, configuration management, test, manufacturing and quality assurance, and integrated logistics support.
• Develop, analyze, and report acquisition strategy methodologies, their progress, and mitigation strategies to attain/sustain performance.
• Schedule, guide, and coordinate participation to establish bases for acquisition programs in conceptual, validation, engineering, production, and deployment phases.
• Perform tasks daily requiring prioritization, research, and analysis with variable communication clarity.
• Handle tasks with programmatic risks, requiring investigation and what-if analyses with SME consultations.
• Oversee tasks in a multi-customer/multi-project environment with time constraints and safety implications for US and allied nations.
