Job summary

Sumaria Systems, LLC is seeking a senior network engineer to support the Air Force Intranet Control program at Maxwell AFB. You will design, implement, and troubleshoot complex enterprise networks, focusing on security, performance, and mission continuity.

This role demands TS/SCI clearance, CCNP, and hands-on experience with routers, switches, load balancers, and network automation. You will collaborate with government and DoD teams to modernize and harden critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI access
• Current Security+ certification
• Current CCNP certification
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise network architectures
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, load balancers, and related network infrastructure
• Advanced understanding of enterprise routing, switching, and network protocols
• Ability to assess infrastructure, identify gaps, and propose solutions
• Experience with automated network monitoring and management solutions
• Strong cybersecurity understanding related to network infrastructure
• Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise network performance and connectivity issues
• Ability to develop or modify scripts for network automation
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective customer support while communicating complex technical issues

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot complex enterprise network architectures
• Analyze and simulate network traffic to identify performance issues and support resolution
• Develop and test network configurations in lab environments prior to production
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, secure, and harden network devices
• Diagnose connectivity, routing, switching, performance, and availability issues
• Evaluate infrastructure and recommend technical solutions to improve reliability and security
• Develop, execute, and maintain scripts for network automation and administration
• Support network monitoring and management using automated solutions
• Apply cybersecurity principles to network components including IDS
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems administration, and operations teams to resolve issues
• Document incidents, changes, and audits to reduce repeat troubleshooting
• Create technical diagrams, configurations, procedures, and engineering recommendations
• Provide senior-level guidance and troubleshooting to government personnel
