Job summary

GM Defense is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead cradle-to-grave contract and subcontract management for assigned programs, interfacing with senior leadership and DoD customers. A strong background in OTA, FAR/DFARS, and compliant procurement is required, with responsibilities spanning bid/proposal support, drafting, tracking actions, and subcontracts management.

U.S. citizenship and federal contracting experience are essential, and the role involves significant cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5+ years of progressive DoD and/or federal government contracts management experience.
• Knowledge of end-to-end contract process in Government contracting.
• U.S. citizenship required to comply with federal government contract provisions.
• Intermediate understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations.
• Strong negotiations skills in DoD/federal government contracts.
• Subcontracting experience.
• Ability to communicate complex contracts issues to executives and external representatives.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Cradle to grave contract administration for assigned programs.
• Assist with Federal contracting processes and procedures.
• Assist with Bid and Proposal activities on assigned GMD programs.
• Research compliance issues and interpret regulations (OTA, FAR/DFARS).
• Draft contractual documents including NDAs, Teaming Agreements, and Subcontract Agreements.
• Develop and maintain processes for tracking actions and change management.
• Manage subcontracts and establish compliant procurement processes.
• Attend and interface in key meetings on contractual matters.
• Maintain relationships with Government Contract stakeholders.
