Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Cloud & Systems Integration Technical SME to advise on secure cloud architectures for DoD programs in Huntsville.

You will guide engineering teams,review modernization approaches, and ensure open-architecture interoperability across PMO workflows and cyber requirements. The role emphasizes senior advisory support, evaluation of cloud migration and modernization strategies, and collaboration with PMO, cybersecurity, and engineering stakeholders to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; master’s preferred for advanced roles.
• 15+ years of cloud engineering, architecture or SME experience in gov/defense.
• Deep knowledge of NIST SP 800-53/171 and CMMC standards.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP and DoD cloud offerings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate cloud architectures for security, scalability, resilience and mission alignment.
• Review cloud solutions supporting PMO workflows and lifecycle management.
• Assess integration with MBSE, PLM, CAD/simulation and engineering tool chains.
• Provide guidance on cloud migration, modernization, IaC and open architecture alignment.
• Develop and refine Integration Test Plans for cloud-enabled workflows and tests.
• Communicate findings to PMO leadership, engineering and cybersecurity teams.
