Job summary

SAIC's National Security Customer Group at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois is seeking a Cloud Architect to support the USTRANSCOM IT Service Management efforts. The role will help modernize the combatant command’s infrastructure, systems, and applications with a focus on security, scalability, and resiliency.

The candidate will lead migrations, design, and operation of complex cloud environments, and ensure adherence to DoD cloud policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree & 10+ years of experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• IAT Level III certifications (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH).
• CE certification for cloud/virtualization with Azure preference.
• Proven cloud architect with design and deployment experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for commercial cloud architectures focusing on security, scalability, and resiliency.
• Plan and manage migration, re-platforming, and operation of complex cloud environments.
• Define and implement security processes and assist cloud platform transformation.
• Ensure DoD Cloud Computing policy compliance across CSO offerings.
• Develop testing for cloud/virtualization systems and document configurations.
