Job summary

Canvas II, LLC. is seeking a highly experienced systems engineer to provide engineering and technical leadership across all acquisition phases. Responsibilities include requirements definition, design integration, verification, validation, and sustainment for DoD programs.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance, US citizenship, and ABET-accredited engineering credentials with substantial relevant experience. onsite work at Eglin AFB, FL with up to 10% travel is possible.

Qualifications

Top Secret clearance required.
Must be a US citizen.
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with 15 years relevant experience; or Master’s with 10 years; or PhD with 5 years.
Degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering and technical expertise across all acquisition phases: requirements definition, design, integration, verification/validation, deployment, and sustainment.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation such as Systems Engineering Plans, technical reviews, audits, and interchange meeting materials (e.g., CDR, TIMs).
Conduct trade studies on performance, cost, producibility, maintainability, and risk; support simulation studies and system effectiveness modeling.
Perform proposal and modification evaluations for technical feasibility and cost effectiveness.
Support developmental planning, AoAs, mission needs analysis, sensitivity and uncertainty analysis, and system comparison studies per DoD 5000-series guidance.
Provide engineering assessments for training systems, simulators, integration requirements, and system readiness reviews.
