Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a DMZ Architect to define an architectural vision for the Business’ network security, with focus on SASE and Cloud designs, delivering high‑level architecture and non‑functional requirements.

You will lead complex DMZ projects, ensure security compliance, and partner with Global Information Security, engineering, and operations, using Arista/Cisco routing, VPN, SDWAN, and multi‑cloud connectivity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years industry experience with technology domain experience.
• Experience integrating solutions with Cloud provider environments such as MS Azure, AWS, Google, IBM.
• Strong understanding of network security architecture and traffic segmentation.
• Working knowledge of public cloud networking concepts within GCP, AWS, and Azure environments.
• Solid routing, switching and DMZ/ISP experience with Arista/Cisco platforms.
• Familiar with security tools and mitigation approaches for DDoS and threats.

Responsibilities

• Works across the business, operations and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and prioritize requirements into a technology backlog.
• Contributes to architecture roadmaps and best practices for defined domains.
• Clarifies architecture, assists with system design, and provides solution options.
• Leads design discussions, demonstrates flexible, modular architectures, and supports rapid shaping of high‑level architectures.
• Educates teams on technology practices and standardization strategies.
• Supports selecting technology stacks and products, and performs design/code reviews for non‑functional requirements.
• Contributes to development of best practices and templates.
• Collaborates across business and technology to evolve architecture with emerging requirements.
• Leads projects with effective stakeholder management and technical escalation as needed.
