Job summary

Axiom Path is recruiting on behalf of a global financial institution in Jersey City, NJ. We're seeking an experienced Django backend lead who can own data-processing solutions and guide cloud-oriented engineering decisions.

You will mentor developers, design scalable RESTful APIs, and build data pipelines using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Delta tables, while collaborating with product and business stakeholders to deliver robust enterprise software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years backend software development experience.
• 10+ years with Django and Python.
• Experience designing secure and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and data processing.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Delta tables.

Requirements

Do You Have the Expertise to Lead in Django Backend and Azure Data Engineering?

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  
• At least 10 years of backend software-development experience.
  
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience developing applications with Django.
  
• Advanced Python development experience in enterprise application or data-processing environments.
  
• Proven experience designing secure and scalable RESTful APIs and web services.
  
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Delta tables.
  
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
  
• Experience developing ETL pipelines and processing high-volume datasets.
  
• Experience with Git-based source control, code reviews, and Agile delivery practices.
