Job summary

Atlas Web Technologies, a division of Atlas Roofing Corporation, seeks a Divisional Plant Engineer for the Meridian, Mississippi facility. The role leads technical improvements, develops CAD layouts, and oversees capital projects with extensive travel.

Requires a mechanical or electrical engineering degree and 10+ years manufacturing experience. Ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, and be proficient with CMMS, AutoCAD, and PLC systems.

Qualifications

• Advanced analytical skills and creativity in solving problems and troubleshooting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• Competent with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
• Familiar with CMMS systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs (ControlLogix/RSLogix) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership to multiple plant locations driving improvements in reliability and KPI performance.
• Create CAD drawings for equipment layout and process control.
• Select and supervise external contractors for capital projects over $100,000.
• Commission new production equipment and monitor upgrades.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines with stakeholders.
• Travel 50% minimum, potentially higher during project implementations.
