Job summary

Diamondback Energy, Inc. seeks a senior Division Order Specialist to manage complex ownership, title changes, and revenue allocations. You will interpret leases and operating agreements, ensuring accurate ownership records, timely updates, and adherence to accounting directives.

You will mentor analysts, drive process improvements, and coordinate with Land, Revenue Accounting, JIB, and Legal to resolve complex ownership issues. Proficiency in SAP and other land systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Commerce, or related field.
• 8+ years land industry experience, including 5+ years in Division Orders.
• 4+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Division Order practices and policies.
• Ability to resolve Division Order issues and recommend process improvements.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Experience mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex leases, title opinions, contracts, operating agreements, and other instruments to calculate, verify, and maintain revenue and working interest ownership.
• Own complex ownership changes, title transfers, and accounting directives; ensure updates to revenue, joint interest billing, and land decks.
• Serve as escalation point for complex ownership and title issues; identify root causes and cure defects.
• Identify and implement process improvements, standards, and controls for order accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead division order activities for acquisitions and divestitures, including ownership evaluation and deck setup.
• Lead data integrity initiatives and collaborate with Land, Revenue Accounting, JIB, and Legal to resolve questions.
• Review and approve ownership changes, new owner setups, ensuring SOX compliance.
• Mentor analysts on division order processes and develop procedures and training materials.
