Job summary

MACOM Technology Solutions seeks a Senior District Sales Manager to drive RF/Microwave solutions across NC, VA, WV, DC, and MD. The role demands 5–10 years in relevant markets, a strong RF background, and a proven track record in closing large deals.

You will develop account plans, coordinate with procurement and engineering, and leverage CRM for forecasting while traveling roughly half the year to meet customers and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of sales experience in aerospace/defense, commercial communications, or satcom markets.
  • Strong technical background in RF design or testing.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close multimillion-dollar deals.
  • Experience managing accounts and servicing manufacturers’ representatives or distribution partners.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of independent project management in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
  • Understanding of aerospace procurement processes and bidding strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for the assigned territory, growing sales with RF/Microwave customers.
  • Develop and execute account plans to drive engagement and win proposals.
  • Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to design MACOM into opportunities.
  • Communicate customer needs within MACOM and forecast accurately using CRM.
  • Engage with internal sales, applications engineering, and product teams to meet technical requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, reps, and distribution partners.
  • Travel about 50% within NC, VA, WV, DC, and MD.
  • Support trade shows or meetings within or outside the territory.

Job Title: SeniorDistrict Sales Manager

JobDescription:

MACOMTechnology Solutions, a leader in RF and optical semiconductor components, isseeking an experienced DSM (District Sales Manager) or Sr. DSM to drive salesin NC, VA, WV, DC and MD area. The DSM/Sr. DSM will be focused on drivingMACOM’s solutions across customers in the assigned territory. The idealcandidate will have at least 5-10 years of experience selling into theaerospace and military defense, commercial communications, or Satcom markets inthe assigned territory. They will have a strong technical background with aproven track record of securing multimillion-dollar deals, particularly with RFsemiconductor components and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contactfor the assigned territory while managing and growing sales with customers inthe RF/Microwave industry.
  • Develop and execute account plans todrive engagement and ensure MACOM's technology solutions are incorporatedinto customers’ bids and proposals.
  • Work closely with the customer’sprocurement and engineering teams to understand upcoming projects anddesign in MACOM for new opportunities.
  • Understand the customers programtechnical and commercial needs and able to communicate their needs withinMACOM.
  • Utilize our CRM system for accurateforecasting and opportunity pipeline management.
  • Collaborate with MACOM’s internal sales,applications engineering, and product teams to offer solutions that meetthe customer's technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strongrelationships with direct customers, manufacturers’ representatives, anddistribution partners.
  • Implement sales methodologies,particularly the Challenger Sale, to drive consultative selling and addvalue to customer interactions.
  • Travel 50% of the time within theassigned territory, covering accounts in the NC, VA, WVA, DC and MD areaof the US.
  • Support trade shows or meetings withinor outside assigned territory.
Qualifications
  • At least 5-10 years of sales experiencein the aerospace and defense, commercial communications or satcom markets.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, onlycandidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawfulpermanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will beconsidered for this position.
  • Strong technical background in RF designor testing desired. Optical systems experience a plus.
  • Proven experience in negotiating andsecuring multimillion-dollar deals.
  • Demonstrated success managing accountsand servicing manufacturers’ representatives or distribution partners.
  • Self-motivated with a proven trackrecord of independently managing projects and driving results in adynamic, customer-focused environment.
  • Understanding of Aerospace procurementprocesses and bidding strategies is helpful.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in ElectricalEngineering (BSEE) or a related technical discipline required.
  • Experience in MS office and CRM tools todrive forecasting and opportunity management.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
