Exelon Corporation in Illinois is recruiting for a Distribution System Operator 2. The role involves optimizing practices to operate the electric distribution system safely, reliably and efficiently, including real-time monitoring, switching, tagging, and restoring service during storms.

You will lead and supervise operations, coordinate with crews, maintain SCADA maps, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent; strong technical aptitude.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and judgment.
• Ability to work shift work and respond to emergencies.

Responsabilités

• Follow policies to operate distribution system safely and reliably.
• Gather and analyze system data for switching feasibility.
• Develop switching plans and provide emergency switching guidance.
• Direct electrical switching and safety tagging activities.
• Coordinate with field personnel during outages and emergencies.
• Provide training for less experienced employees.
• Maintain system voltages and loadings within limits.
• Keep stakeholders informed of abnormal conditions.
• Maintain SCADA maps and logs.
