Job summary

BHMG Engineers, Inc. is seeking a licensed Distribution Line Project Engineer to lead complex overhead and underground distribution projects and serve as Engineer of Record.

You will guide design teams, ensure compliance with NESC/RUS and client standards, mentor staff, and collaborate with project managers to deliver high‑quality solutions for utility clients across MO, IL, IA with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 7+ years of distribution line design experience.
• Experience as Engineer of Record on utility distribution projects.
• Ability to lead complex design packages and coordinate across disciplines.
• Authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record for distribution line projects, ensuring design accuracy and code compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight to the distribution design team.
• Lead project phases from concept to construction support.
• Perform engineering calculations and sealed deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers to define scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Guide team to meet budget and resources.
• Oversee quality control and drive technical excellence.
• Support construction through site visits and RFIs.
• Represent BHMG in client meetings and proposals.
