Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United States seeks a General Manager III - Distribution to lead warehouse operations, drive strategic process improvements, and guide a team of Operations Managers. This role oversees receiving, storage, shipping, and compliance with safety regulations while optimizing productivity and cost.

You will manage vendor relationships, analyze performance reports, present MB/RQBR to customers, and take responsibility for the site's P&L.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in supply chain, warehousing or distribution.
• Experience in 3PL/Contract Logistics preferred
• Staff management required
• P&L management preferred
• Project management preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• WMS experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping.
• Develop strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Lead and coach a team of managers and staff, building a strong culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a safe, clean operation.
• Use WMS and technology to track inventory and performance.
• Manage vendor relationships and cost-effective services within the contract.
• Prepare reports on performance and inventory for decision-making.
• Maintain customer relationships with daily contact.
• Own site's P&L.
• Present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews to customers.
