Job summary

WSP is seeking a Distribution Engineer – Experienced Professional for the Fort Worth, TX area. You will develop designs for medium voltage distribution, coordinate with clients and teams, and produce construction-ready drawings using DDS, CAD, and related tools.

The role involves project scoping, cost estimation, and collaboration with engineers and construction professionals. Travel may be required; strong communication and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of post-education experience in electrical engineering designing medium voltage power distribution systems.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Proficiency in GISWorks’ Distribution Design Studio (DDS).
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for medium voltage electric distribution systems (120/240V – 24.9kV).
• Produce construction-ready drawings using DDS, AutoCAD, and related tools; estimate materials and costs.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure safety, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Assist with development and scoping of small- to medium-sized projects.
