Job summary

WSP is seeking a Distribution Engineer – Senior Professional for our Spring/The Woodlands, TX office to lead design of medium voltage distribution systems and coordinate with clients and internal teams on projects. You will produce construction-ready drawings using CAD tools, develop plans and cost estimates, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safety, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Experience with design deliverables for large capital projects.
• Proficiency with CADD, AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, Aspen, CAPE.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for medium voltage electric distribution systems (120/240V – 24.9kV).
• Produce construction-ready drawings and perform system layouts and material estimates.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure QA/QC and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and risk mitigation plans.
• Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.
