Job summary

ECF Engineering Consultants seeks two Senior Distribution Electrical Engineers for our Atlanta, GA and Fort Lauderdale, FL offices. You will lead design efforts, prepare specifications, and oversee field activities with a focus on electrical distribution systems.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 6–10 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of NESC/IEEE codes. Travel for site surveys is expected; offices offer remote work with occasional client visits.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university; P.E. license preferred (Florida or Georgia); Atlanta office requires P.E.
• 6–10 years of experience in engineering of related projects.
• Strong understanding of industry codes (NESC/IEEE) and design software, CAD, and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel; work in a remote setting with occasional site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and preparation of specifications for assigned projects under supervision.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specs; act as Resident Engineer on small projects.
• Serve as project engineer or project manager; supervise staff designers and technicians.
• Promote effective information flow and maintain complete project documentation.
• Ensure adherence to client/company drawing systems and applicable industry codes and standards.
