Entergy in Brookhaven, MS is seeking a Distribution Designer I–Sr. to design distribution facilities to meet customer needs and reliability improvements. Role involves meetings with customers, coordinating design efforts, and supporting construction with accurate drawings and cost estimates.

The position covers multiple project designs at varying levels and requires strong communication, safety awareness, and the ability to work onsite in a utility environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or 1 year Electric Utility Distribution design experience or >2 years field operational experience
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical plans
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures in utility environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer meetings and stakeholder coordination
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities

Mansioni

• Meet with customers to determine service needs and design distribution solutions for overhead/underground lines.
• Lead pre-design and pre-construction meetings with stakeholders.
• Perform engineering calculations (load studies, fault current, voltage drop).
• Provide technical support to local operations and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Assist with permits, ROW documents, and storm restoration activities as needed.
