Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) seeks a Distributed Systems / Integration Architect to lead the design of an enterprise-scale platform. You will define patterns for distributed computing, event-driven systems, and enterprise integration, ensuring scalability, resilience, and interoperability across internal and external systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with focus on distributed systems architecture.
• Experience designing large-scale, distributed and event-driven systems.
• Strong understanding of Java-based microservices architecture and API gateways.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve reference architecture for distributed, event-driven and integration-centric systems.
• Design systems for high throughput, fault tolerance, scalability, and distributed transactions.
• Architect solutions using Enterprise Integration Patterns and messaging platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Define API design standards and governance; guide service-to-service communication models.
• Design cloud-native architectures with Docker, Kubernetes and IaC tooling.
