Job summary

Relativity is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to design, build, and operate AI-driven, scalable systems that process large data volumes. You will work on cloud-native architectures using Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes, delivering reliable data pipelines and features for complex legal workflows.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, implement CI/CD, and employ testing and observability practices to ensure performance and security in high-stakes environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software engineering with a focus on distributed systems.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, or Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerization.
• Strong understanding of design principles and performance optimization.
• Collaborative teamwork and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate distributed search ingestion pipelines using Elasticsearch at scale.
• Develop message-based services for high-volume document ingestion with reliable failure handling.
• Collaborate to implement cloud-native solutions on Azure with Docker and Kubernetes and CI/CD workflows.
• Improve reliability with capacity checks, error classification, and automated recovery from cluster failures.
• Contribute to team quality through pair programming, code reviews, and documentation.
• Champion automated testing, observability, and DevOps practices.
