Job summary

Relativity is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer on the Discovery team to design, build, and operate AI-driven, scalable systems handling large data volumes. You’ll join a collaborative group delivering secure, cloud-native solutions with a focus on reliability and performance.

You will work across Elasticsearch pipelines, containerized services, and modern CI/CD practices, partnering with architects and product teams to deliver high-impact features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software engineering in distributed systems.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, or Python.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of design principles and performance optimization.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate distributed search ingestion pipelines with Elasticsearch at scale.
• Develop high-volume document ingestion services with robust error handling and observability.
• Partner with architects to implement cloud-native solutions on Azure using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Improve reliability with pre-flight capacity checks, error classification, and automated recovery.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and maintain clear technical docs.
• Champion automated testing, static analysis, observability, and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with senior engineers in design sessions and elevate engineering practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and reduce boilerplate.
• Create tools to streamline workflows across engineering teams.
• Work with product managers to deliver high-quality features.
